Since the 20th of March, launching by IVM Brazil, in the South of São Paulo, of a competition for young Brazilian professionals
In the continuity of the programme Passages launched by IVM Brazil in 2014/2015, this competitions aims at revitalize three passages – Bambuzal, Fundao, et Menininha - in Jardim Angela, in the South of São Paulo.
The challenge is to improve the quality of the mobility at local and metropolitan levels, facilitating walkability inside this poor district with strong typography, and access to the major public transport networks.
The participants – Brazilian town planners and architects, landscapers, artists, sociologists, citizens' collectives, etc. - will have to propose innovative projects and actions that give back their importance to these small spaces of movement, guaranteeing social link and walkability. These proposals, with a strong impact despite their small scale, should be replicable elsewhere, in Jardim Ângela and in the world.
Calendar : launching 20 March 2017 ; Limit date for entrie 10 May 2017 ; announcement of the selected teams 15 May ; workshop in situ from 5 June to 9 June 2017 ; public presentation and jury 10 June 2017
